In order to assign a macro keystroke, just double-click on the Mouse Macro Technology icon, which is located on your system tray. In the pop-up window that appears, simply type in the keyword that you want to use as the shortcut and you are done!
Create keyboard shortcuts
The software allows you to create as many shortcuts as you want, which is probably a good thing, considering that you can assign them to perform any function that you want. For example, you can create a shortcut for opening a folder, a shortcut for the log off screen, a shortcut for the Send To menu, etc.
One really cool feature that the software provides is the ability to create custom hotkeys, which enables you to assign the functions you want to run, and have them triggered when the desired key is pressed. You can also assign it to perform a different action when you hold down the hotkey, for example, using it to run the previous shortcut and perform another operation. In addition, you can have it be active only when a certain application is open, such as when you are working with a particular file.
As with any other keyboard shortcut manager, Mouse Macro Technology is simple to use and intuitive, and it works a lot like a keyboard macro manager. You simply start typing a macro keyword and you are taken to a screen where you can add the parameters for the shortcut.
